Robert Lundbohm is our featured Driver of the Week…

Since the rest of the Board are too chicken to send me their info…

You all get to laugh at me this week…

Robert Lundbohm is your new 2010 SRRSCCA Editor …

Tell me about your first car…what did you do to it…how did it handle…etc what did you drive next, now, what have you done to it…plan for it… etc…

Whoa…that took me back a few years. I grew up on a ranch in Montana and we had a 1947 Willys Jeep with a bad engine and we also had a wrecked 1958 C-10 with a good 283 so Dad and I put the 283 in the jeep for me to use on the ranch. I guess my first real street legal car with license plates and all was a 1953 Dodge (something?) with a push button automatic. It was an Ultra UGLY pea soup green/kinda/gray and slooooow, it was freedom on wheels though.

****MEETING LOCATION CHANGED****

Posted on January 21st, 2010 by DJ

Due to our beloved Roadhouse BBQ closing its doors, we have been forced to change the venue….

We (the board) learned of this very late in the game and made a decision to move the membership meeting to Cobby’s in Garden City.

We will meet there for the next 2 or 3 Meetings. During those meeting we will be working on finding a place that will have us, that is more central to where everyone lives….

Awards Banquet news

Posted on January 20th, 2010 by Robert Lundbohm

Wow, what can I say… it was fun… we all had some good food and wine, booze, beer etc. At one point the room was getting pretty loud so I had to stand up and look the room over. Everywhere I looked I could see these bright shinning faces smiling like there was no tomorrow. I don’t think it was all from the booze either. The excitement and exuberance was seen all over the room. A genuine celebration was going on and I didn’t see a single person not smiling…Yup… FUN was defiantly in the air.

The awards presentation for me was fun to watch. Ya…I only got to watch and no award for poor little ol’ me…I only raced 7 events and that didn’t qualify me for an award. So that made it even more special to see everyone get recognized for his or her accomplishments for an entire season of racing. You all earned them and I applaud each of you weather you received a first, second, third or fourth place trophy. Very well done everyone. Watching all of you gave me inspiration to go get my own next year…

I can’t let you all go without giving one of my official and exceedingly well-deserved “ATTA-BOY” out to Jereb Allen for the tireless effort he put into the awards. He has been on this for months now and he never let up. He not only got it all together but also made everyone of the suppliers work for our business. He is one BADASS wheeler and dealer. I hope never to see you in my store I’ll end up loosing my job…LOL But seriously, Jereb, you went above the call and it showed. The trophies look SMART and just hope mine looks just as good next year.

Sorry it took so long to get this posted…My Bad.

2009/2010 SRRSCCA Jackets

Posted on January 13th, 2010 by admin

As you all know, everyone who earned a 2009 Champions spot in their class will be receiving a jacket as well as a plaque. This is being furnished by the club. Instead of choosing 1 style of jacket for everyone we have elected to allow everyone to choose their own style from our catalog. The most popular style will be chosen for everyone who doesn’t show or respond. We will have the catalog and sample jackets in different sizes at the banquet to help you decide. Jackets will be ordered on monday and delivered to your home by friday.

If you would like to have a jacket and you have not earned a top spot, we can order one for you at our discounted rate but you will have to pay for it. It can be embroidered with your name, class and/or placement or you can order one with just the SRRSCCA logo. Final order is being placed on Monday January 18th so I need your order by then.

If you are not going to be making the banquet but would still like to order I can bring the catalog to you- just e-mail me at transporter60@hotmail.com with your info and I’ll get ahold of you as soon as I can. -Jereb
